Over the past year, it has not always been easy for us to get excited about a Ubisoft game. The company no longer knows how to make toppers such as Far Cry 3 and Assassin’s Creed 2. Maybe some metal fatigue, maybe consequences of the internal problems, who knows. But there is always hope. Especially when a new franchise is started. And new is Immortals: Fenyx Rising. A mix of other open-world games
At first glance, Immortals: Fenyx Rising looks like many other open-world games. Both in style and in gameplay. For example, the game looks like an Assassin’s Creed Odyssey clone with a strong Breath of the Wild sauce over it. And of course, as we are used to from Ubisoft, Fenyx Rising borrows many different elements from other Ubisoft games. But that doesn’t have to be a bad thing if the mix is right. Does Immortals: Fenyx Rising know to deliver enough unique features to set itself apart from the other Ubisoft titles and the competition’s comparable games?
Fight Gods & Monsters
A few months ago the world had not yet gotten to know Immortals: Fenyx Rising. At the time we only knew about Gods and Monsters. But that name was changed a few months ago to Immortals: Fenyx Rising. Several reasons were given for this. For example, the studio wanted to place greater emphasis on your character: Fenyx in this way. But there was another reason for the name change. That’s how Monster Energy found out the name of the game and they weren’t too happy about it. After all, Monster was their trademark.
