Immigrants from 28 European countries will not have to comply with self-isolation; in the list of countries at risk - 7 countries / Article

Unvaccinated or non-Covid-19 patients will henceforth be required to self-isolate when entering from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus, as these countries are on the high-risk list due to the prevalence of Covid-19. On the other hand, non-vaccinated persons will not have to go to self-isolation when entering from other European countries and several third countries, according to information compiled by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).

In Latvia, the 14-day cumulative rate of Covid-19 morbidity per 100 thousand inhabitants in Latvia is currently 61.9 (a week ago – 104.7).

The average for the European Union and the European Economic Area continues to decline, reaching 38.6 (a week earlier it was 51.2).

In Estonia, the indicator continues to decline and reached 33.5 last week (49.8 a week earlier). But Lithuania’s indicator has dropped to 28.1 (61.1 a week ago).

At present, no country in the world is included in the list of countries at particularly high risk for countries with an epidemiological situation (including a particularly high incidence of Covid-19 or the rapid spread of Covid-19 virus strains that are dangerous to public health).

Travelers entering or returning to Latvia who have a vaccination or disease or so-called Covid-19 certificate do not have to comply with self-isolation from any EU / European Economic Area country included in the green or yellow list.

Six countries in the EU and the European Economic Area, with a morbidity of more than 75 cases per 100,000 population in 14 days, were shortlisted. For those who have not been vaccinated or have contracted Covid-19, 10 days of self-isolation are required.
