Immersive Journey to the 1960s: ‘Destination 60’s’ at the Parliament of Brittany in Rennes

Like every summer, monumental projections come to animate the facade of the Parliament of Brittany in Rennes. “Destination 60’s”, which started on July 8, revolves this year around Pop art and the 1960s. A way of echoing the exhibition, “Forever Sixties” which is held at the Couvent des Jacobins, as part of Exporama, the contemporary art festival. Once again, it is the Brazilian company Spectacular – Allumeurs d’images, which has created this colorful cladding of the emblematic building in Rennes using the technique of video mapping. The show takes the public on a journey to the heart of the 1960s. From scopitones to TV programs with Good night the little ones or Hello friends, passing by departures on vacation or the events of May 68, the show of a fifteen minutes allows you to discover or remember significant events of this period. A whirlwind of images accompanied by a soundtrack punctuated by the Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, the Beatles, Johnny Hallyday, David Bowie or Serge Gainsbourg. A real immersion in the Sixties.
