Antonio Muñoz Molina was born in Úbeda (Jaén) in 1956. He has collected his articles in volumes such as The Urban Robinson (1984) o The life ahead (2002). His narrative work includes Happy (1986), Winter in Lisbon (1987), Beltenebros (1989), the polish horseman (1991), The mysteries of Madrid (1992), The owner of the secret (1994), burning warrior (1995), Full moon (1997), Carlota Fainberg (2000), in the absence of white (2001), windows of manhattan (2004), the moon wind (2006), Sepharad (2001), The night of the times (2009), like the shadow that leaves (2014), A lonely walk among the people (2018), your steps on the stairs (2019), children’s fear (2020), Back to where (2021), the volume of stories Nothing special (2011) and the essay All that was solid

He has received, among others, the Prince of Asturias Award for Letters, the Planet Award, the Jerusalem Award, the Prix Médicis Étranger and was a finalist for the Man Booker International award with his novel Como la sombra que se va in 2018. Since 1995 he has been Member of the Royal Spanish Academy.
