It was time to get his armor out of the closet! The guided tours organized at the Tour aux Puces at the moment have a particularity: it is recommended that visitors come in costume. For her premiere, the guide did not miss the opportunity to put on her Renaissance dress, “the same as the nobles wore”, she assures.
“I have the impression that the public appreciated the visit, we were able to discuss and they complimented my costume, it was very good”, she rejoices.
The history of human civilization, starting with prehistory and ending with the Renaissance, was on the program of the visit. The guide also indicated what were the functions of the different tools presented in the museum, which were the gods represented on the sculptures… Not to mention the armor, jewelry and other clothing.
A visit, but also exchanges
The visitors of the day, intrigued, spontaneously asked questions to Julie. “I was born in Thionville, it’s definitely interesting to learn more about this city,” says Marie-Rose. The retiree was not at her first attempt, she had already made many visits: the Cathedral of Paris, the Chapel of Saint-Louis or the Père Lachaise cemetery. “I particularly appreciate the history of France, all eras are interesting”, appreciates Bénédicte, also passionate about history.
The next costumed visits will take place on August 18 and 24 at the same location.
