Lohberg – RV Graf von Schmettow celebrated its 100th anniversary with jumping and dressage competitions up to the most demanding classes under the shady trees that idyllically frame the Lohberg tournament arena.

In addition to the well-attended competitions and the foal show, the focus was also on the anniversary reception of the association on Sunday, which was attended not only by many current but also by many former members and an international group of breeders of the Hanoverian Breeding Association. Right in the middle was Frauke Dettmer, the first chairman of the RV Graf von Schmettow, who looked back on the weekend with complete satisfaction. “We have moved a lot in the last few months and have invested again in the floor coverings. The response from the cavalry camp was very good. Of course, it is not possible to organize an event of this kind without a strong team. I would like to thank you for that as well as for the support of our sponsors,” she explained.

Of course, above all, great sport was offered. In the dressage arena, the focus on Sunday was advanced level dressage. In this test, Maja Schnakenberg achieved her sixth victory at the highest level, which brought her a step closer to her dream of a golden riding badge. The 18-year-old, who rides for RV Huelsen-Aller, prevailed against strong competition with her eight-year-old Westphalian gelding Snapchat (Sir Heinrich x MV Ehrentusch) with a score of 69.365 percent. She also referred Hendrik Baumgart (RV Aller-Weser) and D’Avenir to second place. “For Snapchat it was the first win in advanced level dressage. So far we have only been placed once at this level. So the win came as a surprise to me,” explained Maja Schnakenberg.

Laura Hellwinkel also won the M-level dressage test for PSG Barnstedt an der Aller, receiving a score of 7.7 for her performance with Fidero (Fidertanz x MV De Niro), an Oldenburg gelding. There was also a home win at L level. Maja Flemming prevailed in this test with the nine-year-old Hanoverian mare Rihanna (Romanov Blue Hors x MV De Niro) with a 7.3. RC Hagen-Grinden was also happy about a double victory, because Carina Masanek won the A* dressage test with the ten-year-old mare Saphir (blasting man mother by L’Ami) with a score of 8.0 and then also grabbed an A ** level a hit. Her club colleague Anna Biesewig won the novice level dressage test with Bright Eyes. One of the highlights in the show jumping arena went to Hedda Roggenbuck (RV Aller-Weser) and her 14-year-old Westphalian gelding Catwick (Cornado x MV Gralswachter). “I’m very happy with Catwick, because he did a great job and felt very comfortable on the pitch. It is such a beautiful and traditional tournament. We’re particularly happy that it’s taking place again and you can tell how the organizers tried to create good conditions,” said Hedda Roggenbuck after the win.

The best result for the district of Verden was achieved by Nano Healy, who finished second with Oak grove’s Americana. kk
