A Twitter message shared by Pope Francis on August 11th, reminding us of the great call to imitate Christ in our life of evangelization
Fr. Jinu Jacob, Vatican City
We must strive in the Christian life to follow Christ, being one with him. At the same time, we must go out from within ourselves to meet others in the love of Christ, and find new paths for preaching the gospel.
Pope Francis wrote a short message on Twitter on the 11th of August reminding us of this great Christian call.
The full text of the Twitter message is as follows:
“Let us stand with Christ. Let us strive to be always one with him. Let us follow him. Let us imitate him as he goes out to meet others in a movement of love. Let us have the courage to go forward, finding new paths to proclaim the Gospel.”
“Let us remain with Christ. Let us always try to be one with Him. Let us follow Him. Let us imitate Him in his movement of love, in how He goes out to encounter others. Let us go forth. Let us have the audacity to trace new paths for proclaiming the Gospel.”
The Pope’s short messages written through the social media Twitter have tens of thousands of people reading and sharing them all over the world. And Papa’s also holds the top spot among world leaders’ Twitter accounts with the most followers.
In the overcrowded world of artificial intelligence and usability, Twitter’s ideas are influencing many human minds.
