An elderly man died when this morning, under unspecified circumstances, he was dragged by a passing train, at the Railway station in Plati Imathia. This is the second pedestrian abduction from a train in less than 24 hours.
The unfortunate man was picked up by an ambulance of the E.K.A.B. and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Five firefighters with two vehicles attempted to extricate him. The causes of the accident are being investigated.
