Imants Ziedonis Foundation Easy the team decided to re-read the work created by the Master with the aim – to find the lines that are the “time of love”. In this issue, everyone will be able to find their “minimalism” – a short sentence that expresses a great thought and gives someone a feeling – we are together!
Writer Osvalds Zebris describes the book as follows: “This is a collection of love minimalisms, which contains the cells of romantic love, the cells of the closest love and friendship, there are also those that reflect the eternity of love, the transcendental.
Minimism is one of the ways in which Imants Ziedonis continues – not only in mention, republishing and translation, but also in new forms derived from Ziedonis’ diverse, rich literary heritage. The small, pocket-sized booklet is dressed in blue covers with linden flowers, which symbolize care, warmth and hope. The pages of the book are supplemented by illustrations by the young artist Evelīna Aurēlija Ozola, created by reading Ziedonis’ texts and deriving the specific work of art from the Master’s lines.
A selection of the first quotes Minimismi funds Easy published in 2018, and the booklet, its format was very popular with readers, so it was decided to create an edition Minimismi II. In 2018, the edition was arranged by writer Imija Ziedonis’ co-worker Lija Brīdaka and the visual design was created by artist Ieva Krūmiņa.
