The screaming folk singer Imants Daksis will perform again in Riga after a long break: on December 21, a solo concert of the musician will take place in the cultural space “M / Darbnīca”, which will be the first event in the concert series “Melancholic Avant-garde”.
In recent years, the element of spontaneous exaltation in Imants Daksha’s performances has become more and more characteristic, turning concerts into something between a bardish flow of songs with inserts of poetry readings and psychedelic performance.
Imants Daksis is the author of music and lyrics for more than 400 songs in Latvian, as well as dozens of songs in Russian and English. Since 2004, the musician has performed as a solo artist and has released seven studio albums and many independently recorded recordings.
The concert starts at 8 pm Ticket application and table reservation [email protected] (ticket price 7 euros, number of seats limited). The concert will take place in the so-called epidemiological “green regime”.
