– Imagine that it boils in a pot

The first summer month of the year has so far offered changing weather, and so it will continue in the next few days, according to forecasts by on-duty meteorologist Julie Solsvik Vågane.

– The weather will be changing towards the weekend, with scattered precipitation in Western Norway and Trøndelag, she says.

The weather here will be the best

Vågane says Eastern Norway will partly be shielded from the stormy weather.

– The rainy front hits Eastern Norway on Friday, but this will move north. It seems that the rain will hit Nordland in particular on Saturday, and Troms and Finnmark on Sunday.

The prospects for a sunny weekend are brightest in Eastern Norway, and in the far north of the country, according to the meteorologist.

– There are the best opportunities for sun. In Eastern Norway, temperatures will reach 25 degrees at most.

Sun and thunder

But there is no reason to rejoice so much that you throw away both the rain jacket and the umbrella.

– Especially in Eastern Norway, afternoon showers have been reported with opportunities for thunderstorms. Such weather is usually related to the high temperatures.

– You can imagine that it boils in a pot, and that it bubbles up to stormy weather and thunder, Vågane adds.
