The American band Imagine Dragons will perform on June 9 next year at Prague’s Letňany airport, where they will present their new album Loom as part of their world tour. The group, which is very popular in the Czech Republic, last performed in Prague in the spring of 2022, when a total of 120,000 fans attended its two concerts. She sold out the tickets within days.
Advance ticket sales starting at 1,890 crowns will begin on September 12. An event of this type is accompanied by certain traffic measures in Letňany. There is no parking available at the event venue, and metro line C is reinforced for visitors.
Imagine Dragons released their sixth full-length album, Loom, at the beginning of this summer. They produced the album together with longtime collaborators, the Swedish production-composition duo Mattman & Robin.
“Working on this record was a rollercoaster, as always. Sometimes the songs came out of sadness and pain, sometimes out of joy. Loneliness, search, longing, anger, love…,” explained frontman Dan Reynolds about the creation process.
Imagine Dragons was formed in 2008. Its members are singer and drummer Dan Reynolds, guitarists Ben McKee and Wayne Sermon, and drummer Dan Platzman. Since their inception, they have scored five consecutive Top 10s on the Billboard 200 with Night Visions, Smoke + Mirrors, Evolve, Origins and Mercury – Act 1.
The band performs repeatedly in the Czech Republic. 11 years ago, when she performed in Prague, the SaSaZu club was enough, three years later, their mix of rock, alternative, pop and electronica was applauded by the sold-out Prague O2 arena. In July 2017, Imagine Dragons played at the multi-genre international music festival Colors of Ostrava in Ostrava. A year later, they presented the album Evolve in Prague’s O2 arena during their world tour. During their last performance in Prague two years ago, the Grammy Award-winning American group promoted the album Mercury – Act 1.
