The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in the Cinquantenaire Park in Brussels, as the march against the use of the Covid Safe Ticket (CST) in Brussels had come to an end. Eric Boever, a journalist with the Walloon public broadcaster RTBF, reported on the demonstration when he was recognized by a group of demonstrators.
On images that Bruzz made, can be seen how he was surrounded by the group that came at him with pepper spray. Boever got the stuff in his face while he was being verbally abused, according to video footage, after which he had to be rushed to the hospital.

In a press release, the RTBF says that it finds the facts ‘outrageous’. ‘The verbal and physical aggression is becoming more and more common. With us, but also in other European countries. Expressing your opinion during an organized demonstration is a right, informing about it completely independently and without pressure is a democratic foundation.’
