Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The disbandment of PT Indosat Tbk’s (ISAT) subsidiary, PT Indosat Mega Media (Indosat M2), still leaves a number of problems. One of them is that there is no clarity regarding the fate of employee rights.
IM2 Trade Union representative, Denny expressed his disappointment with the management of Indosat as the majority shareholder who has not mentioned any mitigation or plans or solutions regarding employees.
The reason is, as a result of the disbandment, more than 350 IM2 employees experienced sudden termination of employment (PHK). As of the end of December, there are still 93 employees who will be laid off.
“Expressed very big and deep disappointment to Indosat as the majority shareholder, 99.85% over the dissolution of PT Indosat M2 and the appointment of a liquidator on December 8, 2021, without any guarantees and solutions for employee rights,” said Denny, Tuesday (14/1). /12/2021).
These rights include continuity of work, wages for December 2021, and other employee rights.
“Even December wages, where our status as employees, are not guaranteed,” he said.
Denny added, in principle, the union respects and supports law enforcement and the execution of the case and has permanent legal force (inkracht).
Previously, the Attorney General’s Office had confiscated and took over all of IM2’s assets on November 29, 2021.
In an explanation in the disclosure of information, ISAT’s Corporate Secretary, Billy Nikolas Simanjuntak, revealed that the shareholders of IM2, namely the company and the PT Indosat Employee Cooperative, have approved the dissolution and liquidation of IM2 on December 8, 2021.
