Tenoch Huerta, the Mexican actor who participated in the Marvel film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, spoke about the accusations of sexual assault against him, more than a year after María Elena Ríos, the saxophonist, denounced him.
In 2023, the activist against violence against women used her social networks to point out the Marvel actor for ‘stealthing’, a type of abuse that consists of removing the condom during sexual intercourse without the consent of the other person.
“Stealthing is an act of sexual violence and violation of consent, which can have serious consequences for women,” explains the National Commission to Prevent and Eradicate Violence Against Women (CONAVIM)
What did Tenoch Huerta say about María Elena Ríos’ accusations?
A year after the accusations, Tenoch Huerta reappeared on social networks and has now given some interviews about this situation, one of them was for Ciro Gómez Leyva’s newscast.
In the conversation, he assured that if he could speak with María Elena Ríos he would ask her what her reasons were for filing the complaint against her, because she claimed not to have had negative behavior with the promoter of the Malena Law.
This is because he assured that they both talked about the way in which they wanted to carry out the relationship they established when they were part of the Poder Prieto collective, which came to an end at the beginning of this year.
“The things that are discussed, that are clear and that are agreements between two adults, are agreements,” Tenoch commented in the interview and indicated that both supposedly made the decision not to use condoms in their sexual encounters.
“We never used a condom, she took the initiative and we had sex without a condom,” Tenoch commented and assured that the saxophonist did not ask him to use it, which is why he feels upset by the accusations.
“(I feel) like shit, very frustrated, very angry with life, with everything. You get angry with the system,” he commented and assured that “being a good person does not guarantee you anything, doing things correctly does not guarantee you anything.”
Tenoch Huerta assures that María Elena Ríos ‘attacked him’
The interview with Tenoch Huerta will be broadcast in full this Thursday night; However, the actor from La purga por siempre had already talked about it in Ventaneando, as he was interviewed by Pati Chapoy.
In this other conversation, the actor assured that he and María Elena Ríos had an open relationship: “(At first she seemed to me) a very funny girl, very forward, very strong, very attractive too,” he commented.
Tenoch assured that everything was in order in their relationship, since the saxophonist, who has collaborated with Maldita Vecindad, also dated more people, but months later the aggressive attitudes on the part of ‘Malena’ allegedly began when he had an approach with one of her companions.
“This type of friction began to show something that was strange and he began to attack me within the group,” said Huerta, who claims that he tried to remedy what was happening.
“I had a talk with her, we met in a park and in this talk she suddenly told me: ‘well, what are you willing to do to calm all this down’, so I told her: ‘well, a public apology, I’ll talk to the People, you tell me,’” the actor recalled.
Shortly after, Tenoch Huerta spoke with a therapist who helps victims of extortion and when he told him about his case, he told him that he was going through a situation of blackmail.
“I told him and he told me: ‘that’s extortion,’ I told him: ‘but he didn’t ask me for money,’ he told me: ‘no, no, professionals deal with many subtleties,’” said Tenoch, who claims to have evidence. verifiable of his innocence.
Until now María Elena Ríos has not mentioned anything about the actor’s statements; However, when she made her complaint on social networks, she also shared the testimonies of other women who were supposedly victims of Tenoch Huerta, despite this, he assures that there is no legal process against her.
