“I’m trying to work here!” What did the soloist of “Placebo” get angry about at the concert in Sigulda? – Concert reviews – Music – Culture + – TVNET

According to TVNET, the band’s soloist Brian Molko, after playing his new album “Never Let Me Go”, addressed the crowd, many of whom had their hands up, saying, “Anyone else wanting to stand in the front row and put the phone in my face? I’m not in a hurry. “I can stand here as long as I can. Work with me … I’m trying to work here, but you’re angry with me.”

According to TVNET, one of the band’s fans, “the audience was really stiff”.

At the end of the concert, the band did not say goodbye to the audience.

This is not the first time Molko has stopped playing in concerts in response to what he considers to be a rude audience. Molko has also repeatedly stated in interviews that he believes that cameras and telephones at concerts spoil the interaction between the public and the group.

The “Placebo” concert in Sigulda was warmed up by “Sibyl Vane” from Pärnu and “Purple Negative” from Riga.

The band “Placebo” was founded in 1994, when singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Brian Molko met guitarist Stefan Olsdal. With 13 million records sold in 25 years, Placebo is one of the leading alternative rock associations.
