French midfielder Aurélien Tchouameni has apologized to international fans for his lack of post-match 11-metre run World Finals in Qatar with the Argentine national team (3:3, penalty 2:4).
“It will take time to get rid of disappointment and bitterness. We did our best. I took responsibility, it didn’t work and I’m the first to apologize. I am convinced that the French national team has a bright future, especially if we can count on you fans,” Tchouameni tweeted.
Recall that in the penalties of the 2022 World Cup final against the French, Aurélien Tchouameni and Kingsley Coman failed to score. The Argentines have all the players cut to the chase, they have been flawless.
It will take time to digest the bitterness and frustration.
We will have tried everything. I took my responsibilities, it didn’t work and I’m the first to be sorry.
