SCHIPHOL – “It doesn’t matter what I do. Because my last name is Taghi, the Public Prosecution Service assumes the most serious suspicion. ” The distant cousin of the alleged top criminal Ridouan Taghi fell sharply on Wednesday during an introductory session against him in the extra secure court at Schiphol. Anouar, as his first name is, is suspected of, among other things, involvement in the murder of lawyer Derk Wiersum, leading a criminal organization and involvement in an attempted murder in Utrecht last October.
