“I’m sorry” – Paddock GP

Very complicated day for Fabio Di Giannantonio at Silverstone, who was not rewarded for his efforts. First in qualifying, with this general mess that led him straight to a sad tenth place on the grid. Yesterday, however, he was well placed during practice, but was unable to put into practice what he had learned then. During the sprint, he seemed to have regained his strength, but too many off-track events cost him a long lap. Over such a short distance, such a sanction is obviously very punishing. This left him unjustified in ninth place, with better chances tomorrow.

“Diggia” was not at his best. While he should logically continue with the Ducati VR46 in 2025 – and why not with a Desmosedici GP25 – he did not take advantage of the numerous racing incidents to strike. « It’s a real shame about the long lap because I was in the wake of the group fighting for the top 5. A mistake, I’m sorry, the pace was really good, I felt really comfortable on the bike and we had a really good start, one of the best of the year. » he claimed. The Italian blames himself terribly, because he knows that there was a lot to do on the English route.

However, his climb to just inside the top five after the lights went out is more than encouraging. He can legitimately hope to aim very high tomorrow and why not beat the struggling Marc Marquez on the Ducati GP23? « I am confident for tomorrow ; Let us use today’s data, take another step and stay focused. » he continued.

Fabio Di Giannantonio had a very good start to the season. In the space of a year he went from being a WSBK contender to a future factory rider in MotoGP, thanks solely to the strength of his right wrist. However, the results are not necessarily incredible, but no one can ignore its immense potentialeven if it doesn’t pay off like it does today.

Do you think he can do even better in the Grand Prix tomorrow? Tell us in the comments!
