A woman claims to be disfigured after rhinoplasty. After 2 operations, they had to cut off part of her rib to restore her nose. The woman blames doctors from the Sofia Clinic for Aesthetic Surgery. From there, however, they deny harming her.
On January 13, 2020, Svetla Petrova underwent rhinoplasty. Her nose was operated on at a cosmetic surgery clinic in Sofia. However, after removing the bandages, the patient was not satisfied.
“Time passes, my nose falls off, a huge hump like I didn’t have before the operation,” she said.
Svetla insists that the clinic reimburse the amount for the operation, but they return only BGN 2,000 out of a total of BGN 7,000, and offer to revise the operation. She agrees. The result still does not satisfy her. This time, however, the young woman claims that she is getting not only an aesthetic problem, but also a health one.
“I’m learning to breathe again, because my nose was not only disfigured, it was also dysfunctional,” added Svetla Petrova.
After the second operation, Svetla decided to seek a solution at a clinic in Turkey. There they found that her cartilage was broken and they had to take part of her rib to form a new nose.
“It was about skin necrosis and facial sepsis,” she said.
Svetla claims that she did not receive any documents or receipts for any of the interventions. However, the lawyers of the doctor who performed the operations said that she was spreading false allegations and that she had signed a 7-page informed agreement on the standard risks of rhinoplasty.
