Nacha Guevara (83) is admitted to intensive careat the Finochietto clinic in the city of Buenos Aires after having a stent placed.
The actress, singer and theater director went to the consultation, as she herself said in an audio sent to LAM (America, at 8pm) because of an excruciating pain in one foot.
The doctors told her that a stent had to be inserted and warned her that it had to be done without delay. She agreed. The procedure was successful and if everything continues as it is, she will be discharged on Sunday.
Nacha Guevara was preparing these days to join the jury of Cantando 2024, the series that Florencia Peña will host on América starting next September 23.
“Nacha had a very strong pain in her foot, a pain like she had never felt before,” said Angel De Brito tonight, Friday. LAM, after talking to her.
Journalist Daniel Ambrosino reported on X (formerly Twitter) today, Friday, that Nacha had been hospitalized two days ago, that the required tests were performed and that once the results were in, the doctors diagnosed that the pain was caused because the actress and singer had a blocked artery in one leg.

“The problem was in the artery of a leg that had little flow and was somewhat narrow,” Ambrosino detailed in his tweet. He also highlighted that throughout this process of hospitalization in the Sanatorio Finochietto, Nacha was accompanied by her son Ariel del Mastro (62) and by her personal doctor Guillermo Capuya.
“For observation purposes, she will remain hospitalized for the weekend,” the journalist said.

Later, in LAMÁngel De Brito commented that at first, Nacha Guevara suggested to the doctors the possibility of postponing the operation because she had scheduled dates for some shows, but the indication was that the surgery had to be done right away.
