Russian media reported that Zelensky was thought to have fled on March 2, before the Ukrainian Parliament held a secret meeting amid increased attacks by Moscow forces.
“Ukrainian parliament claims President Zelensky remains in Kiev – after previous reports he went to Poland,” state-controlled Russian media wrote, Russia Today.
Zelensky had previously flatly rejected United States offers to evacuate him, stating he wanted weapons, not rides.
“The fight is here. I need ammunition, not a ride,” said the Ukrainian president.
