NBA Celtics star Jayson Tatum weighed in on the possible arrival of forward Kevin Durant to the Boston franchise.
“I played with Kevin Durant in the Olympics and he’s obviously a great player. But it’s not up to me to make the decision around a change. I’m happy with the guys we have on the team and I love the group we’ve put together.” Tatum told ESPN.
In the same way, the 24-year-old American pointed out that while everything is still “rumors”, he prefers not to speculate on the subject.
“I only play basketball. I don’t believe everything I see on television. I have seen some things about myself that were lies, you never know if what you see is true or not, ”she expressed.
This week, sportswriter Shams Charania (The Athletic) claimed that the Boston Celtics made an offer to the Nets offering Jaylen Brown, Derrick White and at least one first-round pick in the Draft, in exchange for Kevin Durant.
Durant’s future with the Celtics
Kevin Durant requested his transfer to the Brooklyn Nets board last Thursday, June 30. Despite there being several interested teams, almost a month after his request, the player has still not been able to finalize his departure from New York.
Boston could be one of the most attractive destinations for the 33-year-old veteran, who is looking to be part of a franchise that has very clear options to conquer the NBA title.
The Celtics come from losing in the Finals against a Golden State Warriors led by the imperial trident made up of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
However, Ime Udoka’s team has a squad that is strong and has a great future in the league, and for this new season they brought in two new signings: Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari.
