The tumultuous exchange between Professor Raoult and Jean-Jacques Bourdin gave rise to a new trend on Twitter. Thousands of Internet users have used the phrase “I’m going to get up and go” to humorously express facts they don’t like.

The Didier Raoult’s visit to Jean-Jacques Bourdin will have left traces. On June 25, the sometimes insistent tone of the RMC presenter annoyed the virologist, to the point that the latter threatened to leave the set. “I’m going to get up and go,” he said. A phrase hijacked many times on Twitter under the hashtag #PoseTonRaoult, which was one of the most popular on the social network in the evening of Friday, June 26.

Internet users have used this phrase with irony to “denounce” facts that annoy them, such as passengers on trains that get up well before arriving at their destination or the fact that health protection is not reimbursed by social security.

Others attacked the controversial pineapple pizza and spoke of the fact that their favorite candidate from Koh Lanta did not win the show.

“I don’t care about you, you know!”

After having repeatedly ignored Jean-Jacques Bourdin’s invitations, Didier Raoult finally granted him an interview which undoubtedly did not go as he hoped.

The journalist returned to one of the professor’s quotes: “We didn’t treat people”, which amounts to saying, according to Mr. Bourdin, that the nursing staff killed their patients. A deduction that the infectious disease specialist denied.

But the persistence of the radio host ended up exasperating the virologist. “I’m going to get up and go. So you listen to what I tell you. I don’t care about you, you know! ”He got carried away, before asking her to ask“ intelligent questions ”.

The flagship journalist of RMC finally welcomed this interview, which constituted a “historic record” for his morning session with 30.4% audience share.
