I am ashamed to comment on the behavior of rulers and politicians towards the parents of children with disabilities.
I am also ashamed of the use of several “representative” civil organizations by the Ministry of Social Policy as a front.
If I allow myself an emotion, it will be very extreme. Therefore – only the facts.
In October 2015, I introduced the Family Child Benefit Amendment Act. According to him, disabled children should receive a monthly allowance of no less than 70% of the minimum wage and the money for them should grow with it. This would have cost the state of Bulgaria 7 million leva per year. The law was supposed to enter into force on January 1, 2016, but it was cut in the social committee, and then struck out with the votes of the ruling majority in the plenary hall.

There is no dialogue, there is an imitation of dialogue.
It is time for organizations and parents who live with and are aware of the problems of children with disabilities to enter into the process of finding solutions.
