Ilon Masks, head of the US electric car company Tesla Motors, has bought a 9.2% stake in the microblogging site Twitter, according to documents submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
–
The mask has bought about 73.5 million shares of the company.
The share of Twitter shares acquired by Maska is perceived as a passive investment, which means that Masks is a long-term investor who will restrict the purchase and sale of its shares.
