Tesla CEO Ilon Mask could soon offer his cars in the Russian market and is even considering building a factory in that country.
Speaking at the New Knowledge forum, Ilon Mask revealed that he is interested in the Russian and Kazakh markets.
“I think we will soon enter the Russian market. We also need to look more broadly at Kazakhstan and other CIS countries. This is important to us,” said the businessman.
Asked about the location of the plant in China, Masks replied that they had a factory in Shanghai and noted that he wanted the company’s plants to be located in other parts of the world. “Potentially we are looking at Russia,” he added.
The mask mentioned the strengthening of communication between Russia and the United States. Asked why he decided to participate in the forum, the businessman explained that in his opinion it was necessary to establish contacts and strengthen dialogue between countries.
Tesla’s sales offices are now open in the United States, Mexico, Europe, including France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Portugal, as well as the UAE, China, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. The company’s production lines are located in the USA (California, Nevada, New York, Texas), China and Germany (coming soon).
