At least one person is killed and more than two dozen injured after the roof collapsed at a theater near Rockford, Illinois.
The fatal incident happened Friday night, while authorities have not confirmed whether the damage was the result of a tornado or other severe weather activity.
Officials at the Apollo Theater in Belvidere said about 260 people were inside the venue at the time of the accident, including the audience, staff and performers.
Several emergency teams arrived in the area to rescue people trapped under the rubble.
The fire chief indicated that 28 people were transported to hospitals by ambulance but more people may have been taken to hospitals in private vehicles.
