Four polling agencies, including Korea Research and Hankook Research, jointly asked why the president’s office did not allow MBC reporters to board the private plane during their tour of Southeast Asia.
65% of respondents said it was not an appropriate measure to deprive a certain media of the opportunity to cover.
28% of respondents said it was an “unavoidable measure to prevent biased and distorted reporting”.
More than twice the answers were inappropriate.
I also asked if an investigation by the National Assembly was needed to find out the truth about the 10/29 disaster.
55% said ‘necessary’ and 41% ‘not necessary’, indicating a parliamentary inquiry is needed.
Regarding the disclosure of the list of victims of the disaster, 49% of respondents said they were “against” that it was a statement to use the pain of the victims and their families politically, and 45% said that it was natural to disclose it unless the bereaved families objected. Opinions were divided within the margin of error.
The approval rating for President Yoon Seok-yeol was 29%.
With an approval rating still around 30%, the analysis of the political world is conflicting.
[정진석/국민의힘 비대위원장 (지난달 28일)]
“President Seok-Yeol Yoon is doing well, but why can’t I think of his approval rating? First, I don’t really like the media environment.”
[박홍근/더불어민주당 원내대표(지난 10일)]
“(President Seok-yeol Yoon) is committed to blaming others for all causes of the situation, including the opposition party, the former government, the media and the establishment.”
The Office of the President is promoting a meeting to report directly to the public on the results of national affairs next month.
There’s also a glimpse of the perception that the reason the approval rating isn’t increasing is because we haven’t adequately informed the public of our achievements and plans.
