Illegal taxi drivers tackled in Den Bosch and Eindhoven

Sixteen men were already arrested this weekend during checks of illegal taxis in Eindhoven and Den Bosch. These are men between the ages of 18 and 68. They transported carnival celebrations while they do not have a permit to do so.

The illegal taxi drivers can face a fine of up to 4,400 euros and a so-called order subject to periodic penalty payments of 10,000 euros from the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate. That 10,000 euros must be paid repeatedly.

Driving under the influence
In addition to these snorders actions, alcohol and drug checks were also carried out in Eindhoven and Den Bosch. Ten drivers were ticketed for driving under the influence. One of them had used drugs and nine were under the influence of alcohol. A motorist was also caught driving despite a revoked driver’s license.
