The KPK also responded to the allegation. Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri asked the public not to make an opinion that could obscure the investigation process related to the KPK OTT Nurdin Abdullah |.

“The KPK asks parties not to obscure facts by forming opinions and assumptions that lead the public. The KPK also asks the public not to be affected and to continue to follow the investigation process we are currently conducting,” said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday (4 / 3/2021).

“In handling this matter, KPK must ensure that it has sufficient initial evidence according to the Law to set NA (Nurdin Abdullah) et al as suspects,” added Ali.

Ali said that efforts to corner the KPK were not only in this case. But Ali ensured that the KPK remained focused and professional, as evidenced by the verdict of the panel of judges which found the defendants guilty.

“For those who feel aggrieved, please take advantage of legal channels, such as pretrial. The KPK ensures that they are ready to face the lawsuit that was filed,” said Ali.

Ali answered allegations about the KPK’s performance with a total of 1,586 employees, and the state’s budget to pay KPK employees Rp 1.3 trillion. According to him, the KPK budget for 2021 was initially set at IDR 1,305,075,256, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the KPK then carried out refocusing budget and revised the budget to IDR 1,159,908,593.

“We do not fully use this total budget to pay employee salaries. With the current number of employees of 1,626 people, the budget we use for employee spending is Rp 636,839,546,000 for 2020 alone,” he said.

Ali said that the KPK had submitted the results of the KPK’s performance on December 30, 2020. The following was conveyed by the KPK regarding the results of this performance:

A. In 2020, the KPK received a budget ceiling of Rp. 920.3 billion. Until December 21, 2020, the actual use of the KPK budget reached 91.7 percent or Rp. 843.8 billion.

B. From this budget, the KPK has returned state money through non-tax state revenue through case handling amounting to Rp. 120.3 billion.

C. Apart from handling cases, the KPK made efforts to recover, control, and optimize assets that succeeded in saving potential state financial losses of Rp. 592.4 trillion.

D. In terms of prevention, the KPK produced 29 study reports consisting of 20 studies related to COVID-19, 9 non-COVID-19 studies and 1 integrity assessment survey, and resulted in the potential to save state money of IDR 652.8 billion. originating from the Pre-Work Card study of Rp. 30.8 billion and the result of a study on synchronizing social safety net data of Rp. 622 billion. Not only to save state finances, these studies are carried out to improve systems and governance so that performance is more efficient and effective.

Furthermore, Ali also responded to accusations related to the use of the KPK buzzer in the corruption case in Asabri that was uncovered by the Attorney General’s Office. Ali ensured that the KPK accusations were deployed buzzer is slander and lies.

Regarding the Asabri fund case handled by the Attorney General’s Office, we fully support the handling of the case with full transparency and integrity.
