This situation, which occurred at noon on Thursday, immediately caused fear and anxiety among the inhabitants of the area, who are mostly farmers dedicated to subsistence crops.

In this regard, the mayor of San Diego, Unaldo Rochastated that the events are rejected in every way and requested the national and departmental governments and the public forces to continue providing security guarantees.

“San Diego is a peaceful municipality with peaceful people. I ask the violent people to stop it. We suffered a lot in the past, and that is why we reject the events. I ask the departmental government, and I have already spoken with the governor, who has been aware of the events, and the secretary of government, to continue supporting us in facing this. We have to fight this with peace. But we are not cowards either.“, said the local leader.
