Iliyana Yotova called for an urgent convening of the CSNS because of the migrant crisis – 2024-09-18 02:07:01

/ world today news/ The candidate for vice president celebrated his birthday in meetings with voters

With many flowers and wishes for success, the meetings of Iliyana Yotova, a candidate for vice president, nominated by the Initiative Committee and supported by the BSP, in Yambol region began today. In the crowded hall of the community center in Bolyarovo, she was greeted by the townspeople with applause and received many flowers and congratulations. “It’s incredible when they give you love and joy. It is even more unique to celebrate a birthday that brings together people’s hopes and dreams,” Yotova said in response.

However, people did not fail to ask questions about the priorities of the presidential candidate couple and talk about the current problems they are facing.

“It is no longer a matter of desire and judgement, it is imperative that President Rosen Plevneliev urgently convene the National Security Advisory Council (NSAC) in connection with the migrant crisis and the tension along the border and in the refugee centers in our country,” Yotova was categorical. “We’re going to ask for the border to be closed, and we’re not afraid to make that clear. We can no longer “stretch” Bulgaria! No matter how much they try to hide the truth, the Bulgarians will find out very soon,” she said in Bolyarovo.

“We must defend our national interest in Europe. That’s why we will fight for the Dublin agreement to be rewritten immediately and for the text to return migrants to the first country in which they are registered to be dropped categorically,” underlined Iliana Yotova. The problem, according to her, is that the majority of people who enter Europe are not refugees, but economic migrants, and for them the admission conditions are different.

“Let’s be clear. In Bulgaria, the number of real refugees is very small. I am talking about people who, under the Geneva Convention, should really be given shelter because they are fleeing armed conflicts. However, 90% of the illegal immigration in Bulgaria currently has no right to remain on the territory of the country under any of our international laws, because it is about illegal economic migrants coming from Afghanistan, Pakistan, which still have the status of safe countries. The solution we are giving is that rapid production should be increased and these people should be brought back. If we continue in the same way, very soon these processes will become unmanageable”, comments Yotova.

“Until now, only petty crime bothered us, but we are now also afraid of organized crime. Yesterday, the post office was robbed in Voden. We are counting on you with Gen .Radev, we desperately need a change. You have understood what the really important problems are – the immigrant threat, crime, poverty, the need for a clear Bulgarian position towards both Russia and Turkey. You offer solutions and we see that you know what to do. It remains now for us to finish our work, so that on the 13th, with No. 13 on the ballot, we can start changing our destiny”, said the residents of Bolyarovo in the crowded hall of the community center.

The migrant pressure and the lack of an adequate response from the authorities also worry the people in Straldza and Elhovo. “Refugee centers are overcrowded. “Instead of reacting adequately, the rulers pass a secret decree for the resettlement of these people in populated areas in the country”, pointed out Yotova. According to her, this type of “closed politics” is done because those in power are aware that people will protest against these intentions.

“For the most part, migrants in our country are violators of our state border and must be re-expelled. But the government cannot cope, and our foreign minister is a figurehead,” she believes. According to her, the urgent convening of the CSNS is necessary in order to develop a Bulgarian position on the case. Instead, the current president Plevneliev is engaged in imaginary hybrid wars, Iliana Yotova expressed regret.

The second urgent task is the breaking of the canalist networks. “We believe that there is a political umbrella over these networks. There is no force that can convince me that if the country is in place, they will not be broken in a few days”, commented the candidate for vice president.

“The inadequacy of the rulers, their inability to cope is very dangerous against the background of the serious risks and threats facing Bulgaria”, Yotova warned.
