/ world today news/ There is no reason to change the Bulgarian position towards the Republic of North Macedonia, despite the serious pressure our country will be subjected to by the European partners at the European Union – Western Balkans summit. This was stated by the Vice President Iliana Yotova.
Slovenia is hosting the forum, which starts tonight, and our country will be represented by President Rumen Radev:
“We will repeat again that it is most important for us to respect the rights of citizens in the Republic of North Macedonia with Bulgarian self-awareness. The results of the census that is going on in the Republic of North Macedonia will be very important for us. We are receiving very worrying signals. The destruction of memorial plaques has started again. It seems to me that the work of the joint group between Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia cannot boast of any results, the promises to remove certain texts from the textbooks have gone nowhere,” said Iliana Yotova.
