Vice President Iliana Yotova suspected a conspiracy against statehood after the leaked recordings of a meeting of “We continue the change” and attacked the attempt to form a regular government.
“The idea of a rotating government is a difficult political compromise. It turns out that this is the facade behind which these real intentions are hidden.” commented Vice President Iliana Yotova.
So far, President Rumen Radev has no position on the subject. He has not yet said when he will hand over the second mandate to form a cabinet. The recordings distributed by Radostin Vassilev are clearly directed against the attempt to form a regular government to replace Radev’s official cabinet.
“I believed in what Maria Gabriel and Academician Nikolay Denkov said, that a stable government was being thought of. The big absentee are the Bulgarian citizens – there is no talk of a budget, of incomes, of inflation. Kirill’s messages must be analyzed very carefully Petkov and Asen Vassilev. It is an honor for Mr. Denkov that he does not interfere in this conversation”commented Iliana Yotova.
According to her, a conspiracy is being prepared against the Bulgarian statehood at all levels – in domestic and foreign policy terms.
“The names of leading European politicians are involved in an unprecedented way, nothing good awaits Bulgaria, such an attempt to discredit the institutions, through the involvement of the presidents of the European Commission and the European Council, with the circumvention of European rules and laws, cannot but be noted . The more consolidated the Bulgarian position, the better. Such private conversations, as Mr. Petkov says in a shower of phone calls, never end in anything good, this is done behind the backs of the Bulgarian institutions. Statehood is collapsing in an unprecedented way.” , Iliana Yotova added.
According to her, the presidential institution is being discussed in an unforgiving way.
She clarified that there is a possibility that the two political forces are so tied to each other that they will try to form a cabinet at any cost through agreements.
“The president very strictly follows the constitutional procedure – when and how he will give the mandate is entirely within his powers.” Iliyana Yotova also said and asked the question: “Who is afraid of the fact that the mandate was not given in the first 24 hours”.
