Ikea is withdrawing its Metallisk espresso machine with a stainless steel safety valve from 2040 to 2204 due to reports of an increased risk of sudden decomposition during use.

It calls on all customers who have purchased this espresso machine (0.4 l) with a stainless steel safety valve with a production date of 2040-2204 (the first and second digits indicate the year and the third and fourth digits the week of the year) to stop using it. and contact Ikea to receive a full refund of the product.
The risk has increased after the material and design of the safety valve have been changed during production, so only products with a stainless steel safety valve (silver / gray) are recalled. The recall does not apply to other goods.
Metallisk espresso machines with a stainless steel safety valve with a production date of 2040-2204 can be returned to any Ikea store for a full refund. The date of manufacture can be found at the bottom of the product. No purchase receipt is required for refund. The company apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
