V Friday, August 14 a new catalog is published Ikea 2021. Ikea continues to reduce the number of printed copies and strengthen digital version catalog. It should have a cleaner design, a clearer and more intuitive interface and several added features for sharing content. The user will be able to choose whether to scroll through the digital catalog as in a pdf file, to browse in it similarly to the printed version, or to view it on individual pages.
This year, Ikea commemorates the 70th anniversary of the catalog, which will undergo certain changes this year. It focuses on furnishing the home and offers inspiration and practical tips for the home rather than product presentations. “We want to help people make healthier and more sustainable lives easily accessible,” he says Matteo Paolo Montana, manager for interior design Ikea CR.
A big change are the so-called hotspoty in places where the products are shown in the photos. If the user clicks directly on the image, information about the product will open in a similar way as on the Ikea.cz website, and from this offer it is possible to add the product directly to the shopping cart.
Ikea gradually reduces the number of printed catalogs. Catalog for the year 2019 in the Czech Republic printed in volume over 1.5 million pieces, a year later it was 350 thousand pieces and there will be prints this year 179 thousand. Again, they will only be available in department stores Ikea and they won’t go to the mailboxes.
A marketing campaign to support the catalog is ongoing until the end of the month August on various channels, from social networks through RTB, OOH to, for example, radio. It was created in cooperation with the creative agency Triad and also focuses on Ikea dispensing points, where hostesses will distribute a limited number of printed catalogs.
