IKEA Opening New Planning and Product Ordering Location in Liepaja, Latvia in 2024

The new Planning and product ordering location will be located in Liepāja, Ezermalas Street. “IKEA Liepāja” will occupy approximately 1,000 square meters of space in an existing building.

The company explains that the purpose of the “IKEA” planning and product ordering center is to provide support in the planning of “IKEA” furniture systems – kitchen appliances, storage furniture, bedroom solutions, etc. Visitors to the place will have the opportunity to apply in advance for individual planning together with an “IKEA” employee, to plan furniture in certain places independently, involving an employee only in case of need, as well as to immediately order the planned solution.

Instead of planning and ordering products, you can also receive orders from the “IKEA” online store.

At the same time, the company informs that “IKEA” has started the process of recruiting the Liepāja team by announcing the vacancy for the manager of the new customer service area, but right now “IKEA” is looking for managers of logistics, sales and customer service teams. At the beginning of next year, the selection will continue for the remaining vacancies.

“IKEA will open a new planning and product ordering location in Liepāja in the summer of 2024. We have already started the selection of managers for this customer service location. Our goal is to give future employees enough time for training, building a team and acquiring the knowledge and experience necessary for IKEA, ” says Līga Konrad, head of the Human Resources and Company Culture Department at IKEA.

“IKEA” is a home improvement retail company founded in Sweden. This year it celebrated its 80th anniversary, but it entered the Baltic market in 2013, when a store was opened in Vilnius. “IKEA” in the Baltic States is managed by “Miklatorg Group”, which is the franchisee of “IKEA” in the Baltic States and Iceland. Currently, “IKEA” has more than 460 stores worldwide.
