Nigerian interior Ike Udanoh, 31 (2m02 for 107 kg), continues his adventure with Strasbourg. The D-Tiger has just extended its contract until 2023 with the Alsatian club in Jeep Elite. Recruited to replace another compatriot, Ebuka Izundu, he has established himself as one of the symbols of Strasbourg.
A true globetrotter, Ike Udanoh played in 13 clubs before joining SIG Strasbourg this season. Having turned professional in 2012, he has since acquired undeniable experience which the whole club is proud of. The Nigerian interior also does not hide its pleasure to be part of the long-term project set up by the Alsatian club in Jeep Elite.
“I am particularly delighted with this extension. I am happy to be part of the ongoing project of the SIG Strasbourg club. And for years to come. I also feel the confidence put in me. And, for my part, I have confidence in the process underway. I therefore hope to be able to help the club achieve great success, both in the French league and on the European stage, ”said Ike Udanoh.
Considered one of the best Strasbourgers this season, Ike Udanoh is worth 5.8 points this season with 59.6% success on shots accompanied by 4.7 rebounds, 1.4 passes for 9.1 evaluation in 18 minutes of game. “Ike quickly proved that he had the values that stick to our team, on and off the pitch,” commented coach Lassi Tuovi.
“He is a player with a strong mentality, with experience and who has a perfect profile for the Jeep Elite. I think we will be able to increase its role in the future because we know better and better how to use it. His maturity, his experience and his hard-working spirit go perfectly with DeAndre. These two signatures are logically part of our project for next season, ”adds the coach.
