DOKKUM – IJzerhandel JM Raadsma Dokkum BV has taken over industry colleague Klunder De IJzerwarenspecialist BV in Drachten as of February 1, 2024. “In a changing society and economies of scale by investment companies, we are proud to be able to maintain our identity as family businesses.” said Jack Raadsma.
Klunder Drachten has been a family business since 1912. The company was founded by the Klunder family. In 2008 it became the property of Matthieu Kroon. The Hardware Specialist of Drachten is located at De Lange West 104A, which has unique sales properties that fit well with Raadsma’s working method.
After the takeover, Matthieu Kroon will fully focus on Klunder Uw Deurdirector BV “U Deurdirector has been independent alongside Klunder De IJzerwarenspecialist since 2019 and will continue independently unchanged,” says Matthieu Kroon.
IJzerhandel JM Raadsma Dokkum BV has been a family business since 1836. It originally started in Dokkum as a retailer of hardware and stalls. IJzerhandel Raadsma has now grown into a modern technical wholesaler for construction, industry and related industries. The head office with central warehouse is located in Dokkum. In addition to Dokkum, Raadsma has branches in Heerenveen, Leeuwarden, Groningen and Emmeloord.

Furthermore, you can use the services that Raadsma has been offering for many years.
For Raadsma customers, the takeover means that from now on they can also go to Drachten, where they can gain knowledge from the experienced employees behind the counter and on the telephone.
