(01.02.2023) On Sunday, the IHK Trainee Cup took place in cooperation with the Fraport Skyliners basketball team. Eight teams played for victory in a basketball tournament in the Süwag Energie ARENA (ball sports hall) – and got to know training companies along the way. Among the players were trainees and trainees:
This not only enabled the informal exchange on the match day and in the training sessions beforehand, but was also the basis for in-depth discussions between training companies and employers. The training advisors from the IHK Frankfurt am Main were on site and were available for all questions relating to training.
“In order to ensure the development of Frankfurt as a business location, more young people must be encouraged to take up training. A recruiting event as part of such an event shows how valuable and attractive dual training is,” says Stefanie Kaulich, Vice President of the Frankfurt am Main Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
President Ulrich Caspar said: “The shortage of skilled workers is an urgent and aggravating issue for our companies. The companies that provide training make an important and great contribution to the future of FrankfurtRheinMain as a business location.” There are currently more than 1,000 training positions available in the district of the IHK Frankfurt am Main.
The event was attended by representatives of the Frankfurt baths, DACHSER, Fresenius, Groß & Partner, HILTON FRANKFURT CITY CENTRE, the KfW banking group, Lufthansa Cargo, Procter & Gamble, Provadis and the Frankfurt am Main municipal drainage.
