A 48-year-old visitor of the “Asterismos” construction in Ioannina, who participated in an organized tour to Drepano, Igoumenitsa, misplaced consciousness whereas within the sea.
The incident occurred shortly earlier than 6 pm on Wednesday, 12/06. The person was pulled out by the lifeguard, first help was offered and he was taken by ambulance to the Igoumenitsa Emergency Division the place – regardless of the efforts of the docs – he died.
