Vorskla defender Igor Perduta shared his emotions from the confrontation with Dnepr-1 in the 16th round of the Ukrainian championship.
— The main thing is that the missed goal in the opening didn’t knock us out of our rut. On the contrary, it helped us unite, and even before the break we took the lead.
— It seems that this season Vorskla is more comfortable playing away and with the leaders. Previously, the resistance of Shakhtar was overcome, now it is Dnepr-1. Or is this an accident?
“Indeed, playing at home has let us down so far, although in previous seasons home matches were our trump card.” This means that we have decided on one of the unused reserves.
As for the matches with Shakhtar and Dnepr-1, of course, it’s nice to win against them. Moreover, the Dnipro team took revenge for their defeat in the first round. I think that today, with an equal game, we converted our chances better. Our goalkeeper Pavel Isenko helped out in several episodes.
— Vorskla interrupted the Dnipro team’s three-game winning streak. In your opinion, do they deservedly be among the leaders?
— The Dnepr team has a balanced squad, they try to act intensively, with each match Filippov acts more and more confidently at the forefront of the attack. But today the Poltava team played in a very organized manner near their domain.
— Is the information true that the club management offered you to extend your contract?
— Yes, but specifics on this issue will appear at the end of December.
