Igor Nikolaev bought real estate in Latvia in order to obtain a residence permit. The artist made a deal without too much fuss.
Last year, 2022, there was a split in the Russian show business. Some of the domestic stars rushed abroad, speaking out against the special operation to save the Donbass. Most of those who died in a foreign land had real estate. For example, actress Chulpan Khamatova found a luxurious house in an elite village 80 kilometers from Riga.
In the 2000s, many artists bought real estate in Latvia in order to obtain a residence permit. This document made it possible to travel around the European Union without any problems and to come there on tour. So, the musician Igor Nikolaev, without attracting too much attention, first bought a small apartment in Jurmala, and then acquired a more spacious home.
The first acquisition of the performer of the hit “Raspberry Wine” is located on Madonas Street, house number 5. In the high-rise building, which is called the “amber residence”, Igor Nikolaev was not the only star tenant. The artist’s neighbors were Oleg Gazmanov and Larisa Dolina. Apartments in Nikolaev are not cheap – for 100 square meters they ask for 400 thousand euros.
The second apartment of Igor Nikolaev is located on Dzintari Avenue. This home of the star is two-story. It has everything for a comfortable life: expensive finishes, furniture, a pneumatic elevator, a library, a swimming pool and a terrace overlooking the sea.

Igor Nikolaev and his wife Yulia Proskuryakova used to often bring their daughter Veronica to the Riga seaside, but for the last two years the family has not appeared in Jurmala. The musician prefers to stay in Moscow. However, the star does not forget about Jurmala apartments, continuing to regularly pay utility bills.
