Igor Kolomoisky’s Bail Reduced to 2.65 Billion UAH, Court Refuses to Grant Bail – Latest Update

The Shevchenko District Court of Kyiv left Igor Kolomoisky in custody until March 2, but reduced the amount of bail from UAH 3.9 to 2.65 billion.

The corresponding decision was made at a meeting on January 22, writes “Public“.

Prosecutors petitioned to extend Kolomoisky’s detention in the pre-trial detention center for the duration of the pre-trial investigation.

At the same time, lawyers insisted on changing the preventive measure from custody to house arrest in the village of Nikolskoye-on-Dnieper, Dnipropetrovsk region, in particular due to Kolomoisky’s poor health.

The court also rejected a request to grant Kolomoisky bail.

November 28 Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv extended a preventive measure for oligarch Igor Kolomoisky in the form of detention with an alternative bail of 3.7 billion UAH until January 26.

On September 2, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Bureau of Economic Security and the Office of the Prosecutor General presented Kolomoisky is suspected under articles 190 and 209 of the Criminal Code: fraud and legalization (laundering) of property obtained by criminal means. Subsequently, Kolomoisky received 2 more suspicions: about the withdrawal of a total of 15 billion UAH from PrivatBank.
