After the breakup of the group “Rebel”, Igor changed the bohemian lifestyle in the capital for the peace of the countryside. “Now I live closer to nature with my family. My wife has a son and a daughter from a previous relationship, and including my daughter Rebecca’s daughter, we have five grandchildren. Initially, we lived by the sea in Zvejniekciem, Saulkrasti district, then we moved to Skulti, Limbaži district. Here we have both pets and we plant trees. The sea is ten kilometers away from us. For people who were not born and raised in the countryside, it is not so easy at first. It just seems that a person, having come closer to nature, will live like this now, but the way of life must be completely rearranged, various nuances must be observed and many things must be broken,” says the musician and adds: “Rock and roll and music had not disappeared anywhere, except all this time stage I lived a different way of life.”
