Singer Igo offers his listeners a new song “I wake up”, which was created as a tribute to Maestro Raimonds Pauls in his anniversary year.
The author of the song “Es wake up” is Igo’s long-term creative collaborator, composer Jānis Strazds, while the author of the lyrics is Igo himself. “I wanted to use the lyrics to show the amazing feeling where the inspiration is present – when the words of the poem appear as if by themselves, when the Maestro’s hands slide easily and effortlessly over the piano keys,” says Igo. The song was recorded with Igo by Jānis Strazds (keys), Mārcis Auziņš (guitars) and Sabīne Žuga (consonants). Sound director – Edgars Skrāģis.
