Carlo Ancelotti is hesitant to give young talents from the youth academy a chance which could benefit Chelsea. Players such as Sergio Arribas and Vinicius Tobias have had few opportunities to break into the first team and one player in particular, Rafa Marin, is fed up.
Marin, a defender who has been a key contributor to Castilla’s impressive campaign, is looking to take the next step in his career. Marin’s outstanding performances have not escaped the notice of big clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and AS Monaco. However, Chelsea are top of the list to secure the signing of the young centre-back.
Todd Boehly, owner of Chelsea, is ready to spend around 10 million euros on the signing of Marin, who has lost faith in Ancelotti’s faith in the youth. Marin would not be opposed to a move to London as long as he is guaranteed a professional first-team role at Stamford Bridge.
With Chelsea in dire need of a young centre-back with massive potential, Marin could be set to make a career change and leave Real Madrid to join Chelsea.
