/View.info/ Dear compatriots,
“Don’t we see that our society is falling apart before the eyes of all of us, mother Bulgaria is leaving.” – Under this title, on 14.10.2016 we shared our concern in an extensive material full of specific facts, figures and names. Due to the great interest, we were asked to form the material in question into a brochure/booklet, which we handed to every member of the SJC, all heads of state, as well as over 40 leading journalists. You will see for yourself that organized crime and corruption are at the highest level in our country – the gentlemen have possessed the institutions and the press, and are demonstrating their power. The truth and facts remained in the background. In practice, our society has lost the battle with morality.
The occasion to return to the facts is the recent finding by the French newspaper “Nouvelle Observatoire” that VMRO is involved in criminal trade in Bulgarian passports, once again it is a matter of criminal misappropriation of hundreds of millions of BGN. Even more startling are the findings of the British “Telegraph”, described specifically below.
We join the proposal of Velizar Enchev, to signal the EC, because not only on this issue, but also for all corrupt practices, they should be aware that our institutions are completely dependent on the oligarchy-mafia.
We present to you part of our extensive material in question, dealing with this very problem, which with concrete facts gives a clear idea of the murderous corruption in obtaining Bulgarian citizenship:
“We are sure that upon learning the facts, you, like us, will feel disgusted that we are part of such a society. There is no reason to be surprised that our country has reached this unenviable state after the symbol of our nation, which is the Presidency, was turned over during the two mandates of Parvanov-Marin in a commercial company and generated crime. Our national interests were neglected over our personal ones. Judge for yourself! We helped 5 families with small children, Bessarabian Bulgarians, deceived and abandoned in the deserted Dobrudja village of Tvarditsa, without a school. We took them in, settled them in Varna, provided them with work, the children went to school. Assisting them in front of our authorities, not only for them, but also for dozens of their compatriots to obtain Bulgarian citizenship, we encountered unprecedented corruption. Anyone who dares to return to the ancestral lands is humiliated, blackmailed and extorted with huge, unaffordable sums for them. Even when we gave them our last BGN 100 to go to Sofia and make an inquiry about when they will receive Bulgarian citizenship, the policeman on duty took BGN 50 just to let them into the department and this became a practice. We have repeatedly signaled in writing with specific facts the president Parvanov. We have sent victims to the Chairman of “DANS”, Petko Sertov, providing the amount in question, requested by the racketeers, in order to trace to whom these funds will go. Nothing specific was done, but the victims were immediately awarded Bulgarian citizenship, as can be seen from the letter-answer to the problem we raised, signed by Petko Sertov, dated 03.10.2009.
On November 1-3, 2008, the first Great Council of Bulgarians around the world took place in the city of Varna in the State Council of the Republic of Bulgaria. Representatives of four million of our compatriots living in 33 countries were present. At the council, it became clear that such forums are a tradition for our neighboring countries, that is why they had strong lobbies in the world. Both on the sidelines and from the tribune of the council, the most frequently discussed topic was precisely this one: the extortion and racketeering of those wishing to obtain Bulgarian citizenship. Specific figures were quoted.
At the Second Session held in October 2009, out of the ten points defining the problems that our compatriots have to solve, the first point again dealt with the most serious problem – the ongoing corruption in the acquisition of Bulgarian citizenship. These are facts and data recorded on official forums. The delegates of the assembly, some of whom traveled 10-11 thousand km, expected to be honored with the presence of the president. This worried the organizers. In a conversation with the president’s advisers, they received an answer that he had no place in such a “nationalist” gathering. And the truth was different – with his presence, the president risked falling into the unenviable situation of first listening to the shameful facts, and then giving a meaningful answer to why the thousands of people who want to return to their roots are subjected to humiliation and racketeering by government officials . In our next letter to our president-historian, we inform him that in post-liberation Bulgaria, it was the foreign Bulgarians who gave the impetus to statehood. Five of them were successful prime ministers, and Alexander Malinov led 5 governments. They headed the National Assembly, the only university, many of them were people’s representatives, generals, etc. Our country needs to re-engage our nation’s elite scattered around the world. How are you going to denounce as rabid nationalists Acad. Prof. Petar Konstantinov, Acad. Prof. Grigor Velev, Acad. Prof. Tsvetomir Vodenicharov, Acad. Prof. Alexander Chirkov, Acad. Prof. Hristo Matanov., Prof. Georgi Bakalov and others. We gave examples with specific figures of our president, how countries like Greece, Germany, Israel, etc., wisely and statesmanically solved their demographic problem, giving millions of their compatriots living conditions in their real homelands.
But in this case, it is again about a lot of money. The crime boss Kuevich bought Bulgarian citizenship for BGN 50,000. Investigative journalists from 168 hours reported to Vice President Popova that for a one-month stay in our country, ten athletes bought Bulgarian citizenship for amounts from 110 to 150 thousand euros and were immediately were managed in European teams. The British newspaper “Telegraph” implements and exposes a criminal scheme in our country, that in exchange for 180,000 euros with two days’ stay, the candidate acquires Bulgarian citizenship. Vice President Popova denies Bulgarian citizenship to three Russians who made a donation to the state of 100,000 dollars each. You can see the amounts paid by non-Bulgarian applicants. Under these conditions, in the very first year of our entry into the EU, the gentlemen awarded Bulgarian citizenship to 3,200 people of non-Bulgarian origin, it is not difficult to calculate, especially with the above-mentioned huge, specific sums for acquiring Bulgarian citizenship, that if we bet , although only 20,000 euros per person, more than BGN 150 million is obtained. And while our poor compatriots from Moldova, Ukraine and Macedonia waited 6-7 years each, these gentlemen got it in less than 6 months.
In pardons the gentlemen were even more unscrupulous. According to the report, 529 prisoners were pardoned during their two terms. Of these, 232 cases are of those convicted of murder, many of which are particularly brutal. 49 people were also pardoned, despite the reasoned refusal of the Presidential Pardons Commission. (The popular opinion did not fail to summarize in the specific case: “I won my freedom, but I lost my home.”)
This shameful criminal scheme was stopped after the new presidential team came in. 5 times more of our compatriots acquired Bulgarian citizenship without any problems. As an exception, people of non-Bulgarian origin become citizens with a proven mixed marriage, etc. According to the reference until 03.2015. Vice President Popova pardoned only 15 people.
For an illegal pardon, the president of Bosnia and Herzegovina was removed from office and put on trial.
After one of our many television appearances on the issue of Bulgarian citizenship and pardons, we received a call from DANS employees who worked in this direction. We have provided them with all the evidence. Not long after, the director of the “Migration” Directorate, the Chief Secretary of the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad were arrested. The issue was submitted for consideration to the Corruption Commission of the National Assembly chaired by Jane Yanev. Journalists from 168 Hours, Veronika Lazarova, as well as Mrs. Dilyana Gaitanjieva, showed interest and received a copy of the evidentiary materials. Luba Kulezic talked to us five times in one day about how she will expose the lawlessness and corruption in the Presidency. After which everyone, including Yane Yanev, hung up their phones. In a TV show hosted by Kristina Patrashkova, we shared our concern with specific facts about the widespread corruption in the Presidency, but since it was not direct, it was subsequently cut! After that, the Corruption Commission was headed by People’s Representative Yuliana Koleva, who by chance was appointed a member of the SJC. And so, according to a familiar scenario, complete censorship was imposed on the press, posts were distributed, others were bought, and everything was swept away.
Corruption in the Presidency did not end there. From the presidential team, through Ahmed Dogan, he was implemented to head the Agency for the Privatization of Military Properties Col. Ivan Gavrailov, if you familiarize yourself with the specific cases presented by us, you will see for yourself how he he disposed of himself as with his fatherhood and sold military properties for billions of levs worth 10 to 20 times, or even more, below the market price. We have repeatedly signaled the institutions, including the president, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, we have asked questions through deputies in the National Assembly – again a voice in the wilderness.”
