Iga Świętek won two matches in one day. Tennis will also play twice on Sunday

On Friday, Iga Świątek started the struggle with a third round match in the singles tournament. The Polish woman coped brilliantly in it, giving little chances to the much more experienced Canadian, Eugenie Bouchard. Świątek won 6: 3, 6: 2, thus repeating their best result in the Grand Slam tournament, reaching the fourth round of the tournament – just like last year at Roland Garros courts and this year at the Australian Open.

The Polish woman returned to the court a few hours later. Together with Nicole Melichar she played in the second round of the doubles tournament. Their rivals were seeded with “12” Laura Siegemund and Wiera Zwonariowa. The Polish-American duo won the first set 6: 3. They did not have to go to the second one, because their rivals scratched.

Before Christmas, therefore, at least two more matches during Roland Garros. In the fourth round of the tournament, the female singers will face Simona Halep, being able to repay the defeat from a year ago. In turn, in the doubles tournament, the Polish-American duo will play against Kveta Perschke – Demi Schuurs. Both meetings are pre-scheduled for Sunday.
